Sync service stops uploading but continues running

I have been having problems syncing a folder containing files and sub-folders on a Windows Server 2003 system with a remote server:

1) Large files (2MB plus) seem to abort and not restart when I make a direct connection.

2) After uploading all the files by manually restarting the upload after each abort, and visually checking a number of the timestamps, I ran the timed sync upload and it appears to have selected several or all the files to be re-uploaded even though I have "Update, add new and remove unique...". I would have expected that there would be no items selected since I had just completed a sync and I have "Preserve local file times on uploaded files" ticked

3) The sync service stops uploading after a time and then continues running but with no further uploads.

I have tried "Use APPE to resume uploads" but it does not seem to make any difference.

Thanks for any help

Andrew

Am I right in having selected:

"Update, add new and remove unique..."

I assume that this should update any files where the time stamp is different, add any new files on the target machine, and delete any files on the target which do not exist on the source machine.

yes correct. If you select the option 'compare file size rather than file time' then source file of different size will always be considered 'newer' than the one at target folder.

That would be fine if it worked.

As you can see from the above the sync service stops uploading after a time and then continues running but with no further uploads.

The good news is that the "Add only new files" seems to work fine.

Is there another way to delete files on the target which do not exist on the source?

which version/build of TurboFTP are you using? Can you forward the task log showing what happened under synchronization scheme "Update, add new and remove unique..."?

There was no ticket number, I sent it to that address because it is the only one that I have.

Which address should I use?
