I continually seem to get random "425 Can't Open Data Connection" errors when transferring files.

Answer It is very likely the remote server is behind a router or a firewall. Switch TurboFTP to Passive Mode if you have not done so (enable [Options|Firewall|Use PASV mode]) or disable the Passive Mode if you are already using it, and connect again.
