TurboFTP with sql server authentication

Postby anadana » Mon Apr 01, 2013 9:13 pm

Hi,

I am evaluating TurboFTP to see if it can authenticate against asp.net web application database tables. I see that it supports database authentication using ODBC but it only takes one table name. My web application uses ASP.NET Membership tables on MS SQL database server. It uses SHA1 hash for storing passwords. Also, my user field name, password Filed Name and Password Salt Field name come from two different tables. How do I specify those? I can create a database view to return all the fileds needed but does the Table name field for ODBC authentication wizard accept View Name instead of table name? Also, my password is stored using SHA1, does TurboFTP aunthenticate against SHA1 hashed passwords? Need a quick answer so we can make a decision.

Thanks,
Ana
